The Best Meditation Technique for Emotional Regulation

I have tried and tested many different meditation techniques and to be honest, I felt that most of the meditations I tried didn’t really make any huge difference in my day-to-day life - let alone dealing with emotions. Until I stumbled across a type of meditation called “Effortless Meditation”. At the time, I had never heard of it. I always assumed that meditation used a lot of effort and concentration - that’s how I had been taught in that past anyways. I was shocked to hear that there was a technique that could be effortless. I invested in a course where I learnt how to do the technique. I began practising Effortless Meditation, twice a day for 20 minutes. To begin with, I wasn’t really sure if I was doing it right and I could hardly believe that meditation could be truly effortless - but I persisted.

I realised that there was something PROFOUND about the Effortless Meditation Technique.

Insomnia was something that I suffered hugely from and it was a real darkness in my life that I had not yet been able to overcome (along with large amounts of suppressed childhood trauma and unhealthy patterns that I continually found myself repeating over and over). After 2 weeks of practicing Effortless Meditation, my insomnia was completely gone - to this day I am still amazed at this. I have another blog post HERE which describes in further detail this story. I realised that there was something PROFOUND about the Effortless Meditation Technique. I have been continuing this meditation technique for about 2 years now and I have come to discover its innate healing abilities along with its profound impact on emotions and their regulation.
